Chimamanda's Visit To Abuja On May 15, 2010 award-winning writer Chimamanda Nogozi Adichie was in Abuja primarily for a creative writing workshop and a book reading and signing event. Both took place at the Cyprian Ekwensi Arts and Cultural Centre, Area 10, Garki. Later in the evening there was a dinner in her honour hosted by Mr Peter R Claussen, Counsellor for Public Affairs, United States Embassy, Abuja. The Chimamanda visit was a joint collaboration between the Abuja Writers' Forum (AWF) and the Public Affairs Section of the United States Embassy.
